Bill Establishes A Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency

The nation has a new federal agency. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) was created out of several existing organizations within the Department of Homeland Security. The CISA was codified by a law signed by the President on 16 November 2018. The text of the law can be found here.

"Currently the threshold for cyber investigation leaves a significant gap in capabilities and support between Federal and Local Law Enforcement agencies. Hopefully with this consolidation, we will see more cyber investigations at a localized level." - Ethan Dietrich, SIXGEN CEO
