SIXGEN Launches “SixGen Scholarship” with Anne Arundel Community College
05 January 2021
SIXGEN, a Maryland-based, full-spectrum cybersecurity company, is working with Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) to provide scholarships for students studying computer science, computer information systems, or cybersecurity. The SixGen Scholarship opportunity begins in the spring semester of 2022 and will be available to eligible students for the next 20 years.
The scholarship amounts will be different for each recipient and are granted to applicants who are enrolled full time or part time at AACC and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Recipients can be U.S. citizens or eligible non-U.S. citizens, but must be residents of the State of Maryland.
Once initial applications are submitted, a pool of potential recipients will be determined by a Financial Aid Committee in which the students will need to write a two-page essay as a final step. A separate SixGen Scholarship Review Committee will determine the final recipient(s) of the scholarship.
